Mommy Power Event 2013 @ Dusit Thani Hotel

Momstoday Magazine presented Mommy Power, a 2-in-1 event for moms and moms to be which was held last April 13, 2013 at Dusit Thani Hotel, Makati. The morning session was Sa Ugoy ng Duyan, which was for expectant parents. It was from 9 am to 12 noon. The afternoon session was for parents with babies and kids which was from 1 pm to 5 pm.

We attended the afternoon session. The ticket was P250 for each participant. It included a goody bag and snacks. And after we finished collecting all the stamps from their sponsors, they gave us an umbrella.

If you want to fully focus listening to the speakers, they have a child area where you can let your child play and have fun courtesy of Musik Garten.

An afternoon with informative speakers, activities and raffle prizes!

I didn't get the chance to take a picture of all the sponsors booth. Some of the sponsors during the event: Cetaphil, MaryKay, EQ Diapers, Smart Steps, Goody, McCormick, Lactacyd. The sponsors was too many I forgot the others.

My Sister and I got the chance to join the EQ games. We didn't win, but they gave us a consolation prize. : )

We met the very lovely host, Ms. Patricia Hizon. She is also a mom of two very handsome boys.

I was so overwhelmed with all the goodies that we brought home. The EQ diapers was the consolation prize during the EQ games shown in the picture above.

The Php 500 ticket that we paid was really worth it! Looking forward to the next MomsToday event.

(Product Review) Babiators Sunglasses for Babies

One of the reasons why we bought Babiators sunglasses for our son is to protect his eyes while we expose him everyday to the morning sun. Breastfeeding babies need their morning sun exposure because breast milk doesn't contain Vitamin D.

Every morning, he's always "nakasimangot kasi nasisilaw sya". That's why we bought him one. And every time the neighbors see him, they always say, "Ang sosyal naman magpaaraw ng baby mo!" Hehehe : )

We bought this at Babyshop.ph for P950. This design is Black Ops Black (0-3 yrs).

Baby Andy: Oh yeah! Chillin' out with my toys!

What I love about this product:
  • It has a 100% protection from UV-A & UV-B
  • It's very durable because it's made from flexible rubber frames that consistently bounce back after being bent.
  • It's BPA-free
  • And a variety of colors to choose from.
The only problem for me was the packaging was very cheap. There is no case included for you to store it after you use it. So we have to make "kalkal" of the "baul" to find a case that will fit this size.

But my overall rating is this baby is really a must buy, especially during summer. The character shades that can be bought at the local department store was not an option for me and my husband, because that was not really made for the babies or toddlers, they can easily break when bent and it doesn't give 100% protection from the sun and some of them are not BPA-free.

This review is only based on my opinion. I paid for this item and I didn't receive any compensation for this review.
